Case study:  Leading Pet Care Provider

 

Organisation background

We work with a leading pet care provider on their Puppy and Kitten programme for specialist brands. The programme is set up to target new puppy/kitten owners via supporting and rewarding breeders who use and recommend our client's products. The new puppy or kitten owners are given a starter pack by the breeder, which is supplied by the client.

This pack not only provides vital information but offers them a starter pack of food and a money-saving voucher for their first purchase, adding value to their decision to bring a puppy or kitten into their home. The programme is also run via vets, who are provided with these starter packs to give to customers who first bring in a puppy or kitten. This programme provides extra support to vets and breeders, who can rest assured they have recommended a good quality food and been able to give something extra to their customers.

The brief

To support this programme, our client needed a partner that it could trust to deliver a complex mix of services, on time, on budget, and with all the necessary quality controls.

In particular, the brief required an end-to-end process, from membership applications to an Orderline and Helpline, using technology to enable highly personalised mailings in relatively small quantities to be produced with built-in quality control.

The solution

We developed a discrete software application for the brand, which uses automated triggers and prompts, in the delivery of all material. This also delivers an enormous amount of management information and provides clear return on investment data.

The programme of activity which the software manages includes:

  • Maintaining a database of Breeders (and Vets)
  • Receive and process new scheme membership requests
  • Receive and process ‘litter announcements’
  • Despatch to Breeders and Vets
  • Weaning food (Breeders only)
  • New owners packs
