The office2office plc group of companies, which includes Banner Managed Communication, currently employs over 900 people, upon whose skills, knowledge and experience we rely to carry out our business. We are committed to ensuring that during their employment with o2o, we develop them, satisfy them, recognise their diversity and create a safe and healthy working environment for them.

o2o is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees and others affected by its business activities. We take proactive steps to ensure that we are aware of the range of health and safety legislation relevant to our business and of the standards of proof required to demonstrate compliance. 

Environment

Environmental management

The impact of o2o’s trading activities on the environment has been assessed and an Environmental Management system implemented which is certified to the international standard ISO 14001:2004. Our Head Office in Norwich and our National Distribution Centres in Manchester and Basingstoke are certified to ISO 14001:2004, as are Banner Managed Communication and Accord.

Carbon management

o2o is committed to reducing the rate of climate change. We have implemented a programme of initiatives to reduce our carbon emissions, focusing on the impact of our delivery fleet and other business-related travel.

Energy management

o2o measures monthly gas and electricity consumption in an effort to reduce cost and usage.  We have switched to a provider of renewable energy in some locations, and are investigating the use of alternative power sources by installing equipment to measure wind and solar power.

Waste management

o2o is committed to managing its waste responsibly, recycling it wherever possible. Recycling centres have been installed within our Distribution Centres and similar facilities are available in our offices, allowing staff to recycle paper, confidential documents, cardboard, plastics, cans, plastic cups and printer cartridges.

Climate Care

We actively encourage our suppliers to hold or be working towards appropriate environmental accreditations. In addition, to play our part in tackling climate change, we have teamed up with Climate Care to offset the greenhouse gas emissions from our business operations. Click here for more information

Quality

Focusing on and meeting the needs of our customers is critical to the improvement of our business performance and the future success of our group. Therefore, our policy is to maximise our reputation for excellence in satisfying customers’ expectations through the provision of an outstanding and flexible service, value for money and continuous improvement. A business management and quality system has been implemented to ensure that customers’ needs and expectations are understood and satisfied. Our management review process provides a framework for setting and reviewing quality objectives.

The group is committed to abiding by the statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to our products and activities. To achieve these quality objectives, it is the policy of the group to establish and maintain an effective management system based on the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 2008. Our Swindon site is certified to BS EN ISO 9001: 2008 and this certification is being rolled out to all BMC sites in 2011.
